This woven design showcases a masterful interplay of techniques that create its distinctive 3D effect. Like many of Alexandra’s designs, Oleanda features a bold graphic quality with a nod to the Op Art movement, drawing the eye with its dynamic sense of movement.

The carefully curated colourways are designed to complement other fabrics in the collection, introducing deeper, more masculine tones while maintaining versatility.

Reeds is the woven counterpart to our printed linen of the same name, designed by Alexandra Palmowski. Inspired by Henri Rousseau’s imaginative depictions of nature, Reeds captures the essence of forest glades and dense foliage with an abstract, modern twist.

Drawing from Virginia’s own time spent on the Suffolk coast, where reed beds are a defining feature of the landscape, this design feels distinctly tied to the English countryside. The woven version of Reeds elevates the original design, using texture and depth to bring its bold, large-scale depiction of nature to life. Through its intricate craftsmanship and striking colour palette, Reeds embodies a seamless blend of graphic artistry and natural inspiration.

Matchstick is a design that masterfully balances simplicity with sophistication. Its clean, edited graphic style evokes a sense of both movement and stillness simultaneously, making it a compelling addition to any interior.

Created by Alexandra Palmowski, Matchstick embodies her strong sense of graphic artistry and includes a nod to the Op Art movement. Woven in England using a blend of natural fibers, the design is both contemporary and timeless.

The colourways on a white background lend a fresh, airy quality ideal for light-filled spaces, while the dual-colour options create a richer, more textured look. This versatility allows Matchstick to complement a wide range of fabrics within the collection.

Robin's Egg is a bold nod to the iconic Op Art period, inspired by British artist Bridget Riley (b.1931). Initially envisioned as a screen-printed linen, we pivoted after discussions with our skilled weavers, who helped us see how its intricate details could shine as a jacquard. To enhance the overlapping squares and circles of the design, we introduced a diagonal twill detail, highlighted with a contrasting coloured warp yarn.

Developing the design wasn’t without its challenges—we trialled numerous samples to achieve the perfect construction. However, the result has exceeded our expectations, and we’re delighted with the outcome!

Choosing the colourways was equally exciting. With over 12 initial options, we carefully narrowed them down to four diverse and versatile palettes. Each complements the rest of our woven collection beautifully.

Juno, a reversible, lightweight woven fabric. Thicker than a sheer but lighter than a full-weight fabric, Juno offers a refined screening for light and view without the need for a lining, making it an elegant addition to any space.

Juno provides a calm, neutral backdrop for windows, allowing other décor elements to shine. Inspired by Virginia’s approach of using a single fabric throughout a space in her own interior design projects —such as in a recent Manhattan apartment as well as in her own home—Juno creates a sense of openness and unity.

The fine subtly contrasted coloured stripe thats woven into Juno adds a hint of color as well as the illusion of height, making it perfect for large-scale use. Crafted in England from natural materials and intended for drapery, Juno is made up of 52% Cotton and 48% Linen.

Xander is a reversible fabric, slightly heavier than Juno, offering a more textured pattern with greater depth.

The concept for Xander was inspired by the need for a wide, mezzanine curtain that could screen off a room without the bulk or cost of a double-layered fabric. Its reversible nature ensures a perfect blend of colour and pattern on both sides, making it easy to draw whilst still being visually appealing from every angle.

Originally designed for a recent project of Virginia’s, a Shaker meeting house—Xander carries the spirit of this historic setting. The fabric’s colors reflect the natural beauty of the area, with hues inspired by mossy woodlands, pale skies, and the deep blue of a swimming pool beneath tall, swaying pine trees.

Named after Virginia’s nephew, Xander, this special fabric mirrors his charm in its thoughtful design.

Woven in England, Xander is ideal for drapery and cushions and is made from 55% Wool (RWS) 45% Cotton.
