Victor was designed by Alexandra Palmowski, a graphic artist based in Manchester with a brilliant sense of 3D geometrics. Victor Vasarely was the father of OP Art, a movement which explored geometric patterns with a disorientating effect on the eye and which produce movement in colour. This fabric and paper is an ode to his graphically strong work. It is influenced by the early black and white perspex art Bridget Riley created- seemingly simply but optically powerful with an endless motif like a never-ending maze.
