Inspired by Tudor striped tents used by English Longbowman. Their Pavilions were often decorated with woven, striped cloth which can be seen in the painting The Field of the Cloth of Gold (where Henry VIII met Francis I of France).
I came across the idea when decorating a boys bedroom with a steep pitched roof and beams and I felt this simple design would create the feeling of camping.
The design is simple but extremely effective and I felt it would compliment many of the more decorative patterns within the Collection.
It is possible to specify the stipe to match the rest of the fabrics and decor in a scheme and is printed to order.
