Designed by Dora, Rye was inspired by the wood carvings of English artist Eric Ravilious (1903-1942). The design captures the feeling of something scratched and ancient, yet abstract. Dora creates her designs from Lino and woodcarvings and is constantly looking to the Sussex landscape around her to gain inspiration. The colours for the wallpapers are delicate and in the palette of Ravillious. They are reminiscent of misty grey English days.
